About me
I bring large city experience to Palmerston North and Feilding from practising in Auckland and Wellington. I belong to the New Zealand Law Society’s Property Law section (a specialist area for property lawyers). I am very experienced in property and wider business law that includes employment law matters of all types, leasing, business sales and purchases and asset protection (trusts, contracting-out agreements, co-ownership of property regimes).
I have completed well over at least a thousand settlements from start to finish. At the moment I do everything myself. I have also completed sub-divisions and advised about buying and selling property of all types (commercial buildings, family homes, investments, farms, lifestyle blocks, apartments) all over New Zealand.
I am a classic sole practitioner. I tend to have an “open door” policy and an open mind as a result. I am prepared to take instructions on any matter that suits my legal practice. I have also appeared in all of the New Zealand courts (including the Supreme Court) and in the Employment Relations Authority. I feel I would be the equivalent of a partner in a medium-sized progressive law firm in a larger New Zealand city. I am naturally somewhat curious and interested in resolving problems associated with novelty. I have published ten times in the New Zealand Law Journal and once in the Australian Law Journal.
I am not prepared to advise on anything that I feel is a risk to both myself and to a client. However I can refer those clients requiring more specialist advice to other suitable practitioners if necessary.
